Pride led to Satan’s fall. It’s in the Bible, Ezekiel 28:17, NKJV. “Your heart was lifted up (proud) because of your beauty, you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor.”

See Also Ezekiel 28:13-19.

Satan, known as Lucifer before he sinned, wanted to be equal with God. It’s in the Bible, Isaiah 14:12-15, NKJV. “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! . . . . For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol. To the lowest depths of the Pit.’”

Lucifer means: “Shining One” or “Day Star”.

Satan wants to be worshipped as the ruler of this earth. It’s in the Bible, NKJV. Matthew 4:8-9. “Again, the devil took Him [Jesus] up on an exceedingly high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.’ ”

See what Jesus Christ calls him. John 12:31 “now the ruler of this world will be cast out.”

Also 2 Corinthians 4:4 “the god of this age”

The other verse is found in Ephesians 2:1-3. “the prince of the power of the air.”

IN CONTRAST to Satan’s pride and self-exaltation, what spirit did Jesus have? It’s in the Bible, Philippians 2:5-8, NKJV. “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross”.

That should be our attitude as well, same as our Lord.

Satan’s supernatural forces are waging a war against God and His people. It’s in the Bible, Ephesians 6:11-12, NKJV. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

It is an interesting study we going to do soon. To learn the different items of the Christian armor.
