Is the devil in charge of hell? No, hell was made to destroy the devil. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 25:41, NKJV. “Then He [the Lord] will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’ ”

Is the Devil in Hell? Satan lives on earth – not underground in hell. It’s in the Bible, Job 1:6-7, NKJV. “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So, Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

Satan can appear as a beautiful angel of light. He is not a grotesque figure with horns. It’s in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 11:14, NKJV. “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”

In our lesson SAT-01 Who is he? Check the last question?

Remember what we covered in our lesson SAT-02 Why did Satan rebel.

Let us read: Ezekiel. 28:13-19.

Our Lord describes him (Satan) this way. John 10:10 “he does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.’

Satan spends his time inflicting his anger against the human race. It’s in the Bible, Revelation 12:12, NKJV. “…Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

Because of that he will continue to tempt, attract more and more people to himself and lead them to destruction.

Hence the top priority is to tell people about the gospel, about what Christ Jesus has done – and the wonder of this good news.

The devil is our enemy. It’s in the Bible, 1 Peter 5:8, NKJV. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

How can I overcome the devil? It’s in the Bible, Revelation 12:11, NKJV. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Satan is a defeated enemy. It’s in the Bible, 1 John 4:4, NKJV. “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

Who is ‘in the world?’ the master of deception and with all his helpers?

Our next teaching in this series is about what else our enemy does.
